WHO WE ARE
WHO WE ARE
MY STORY
My path into financial planning wasn’t traditional, it unfolded over time through experience and a deepening understanding of value, shaped early on by the encouragement and support of my parents. I studied art history and arts administration and began my career in New York as a publicist for Christie’s Auction House, where I learned how value is created, preserved, and sometimes lost. That experience led me into art investing and ultimately, into financial and wealth planning.
Like many of the women I work with today, my own journey into financial stewardship was shaped by life’s unexpected moments including a time when I had entrusted the oversight of my finances to my former husband. Through that experience, I came to fully appreciate the importance of understanding and taking ownership of one’s financial life. These moments gently (and sometimes not so gently) remind us how essential it is to be informed, engaged, and confident in our decisions.
Through both personal and professional experience, I came to understand that women are not seeking more complexity or jargon, but rather clarity, partnership, and the confidence to move forward with purpose.
Women’s Worth Advisors grew from a collaboration with a like-minded female advisor and mentor and has evolved into a practice devoted to helping women design lives they love; financially grounded, thoughtfully organized, and resilient through every season. My focus is on helping women become thoughtful stewards of their wealth, make informed decisions, and feel prepared not only for today, but for whatever life brings next.
Today, I share my life with my husband, embracing both the personal and professional journey that continues to shape my perspective and the work I do with clients.
As a financial advisor and educator for women, I am committed to partnering with women on their life journeys. My journey began 35 years ago when I was unable to find unbiased financial advice. So, I returned to graduate school and completed a master’s degree in finance and soon thereafter the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program. I reasoned that if I needed to do this, other women needed the same assistance. This need resulted in the eventual creation of two private practices concentrating on women’s financial planning needs.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to foster a strong network of women who can learn from one another and create the value they yearn for in their lives. As an advisor, I seek to truly get to know my clients and create close relationships. By understanding their lifestyle, responsibilities and wishes for the future, together we tailor a financial strategy suited to their individual needs.
I am also a frequent speaker on financial and women’s issues as well as memorable sailing adventures. My family and I have been residents of HHP for three decades, and we feel lucky to continue being part of this community.
